Overview
There were earlier immigrants from Ireland to Kingston including Jane Sullivan who lay in the Old Burying Ground adjacent to the tomb of the William Sever family. She had worked as a nursemaid and servant for 44 years and was so beloved by the Severs that she was buried next to the family in 1806.
